800th Week for Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge….

Yash Raj Films’ Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge entered the 800th combined week of its run in matinee shows at Maratha Mandir cinema in Bombay recently. DDLJ broke its own record after it completed 15 years at the theater. The film, produced by Yash Chopra and directed by Aditya Chopra, stars Shah Rukh Khan, Kajol, Amrish Puri, Farida Jalal and Parmeet Sethi.
Shah Rukh Khan starred as the spoilt NRI who is living a carefree life in the UK. Kajol, who lives under the strict diktats of her authoritarian father, Amrish Puri, convinces him to let her go on a Europe tour. Kajol and Shah Rukh bump into each other and after a couple of misadventures together, they fall in love. After the trip, Kajol and her family return to India where Kajol is to be married to Amrish Puri’s friend’s son. Unable to forget her, Shah Rukh follows Kajol to India to claim his love.
